Okay, so the title is a joke only my sisters will understand (some neighborhood kids used to YELL this from their front doorstep when they wanted to make a little extra money). In this case, "stuff for sale" would be more accurate.

Tyson, Sawyer and I are about to embark on an adventure. We have a buyer for the trailer, so we are moving. Moving into our truck, that is. You could look at what we are doing one of two ways: we are either traveling everywhere or we are moving somewhere. We just don't know where yet, but I'm sure we'll know it when we see it. For anyone who has heard the story of how Tyson and I got engaged, you'll recognize that this is how it all started. We both wanted to take a cross-country trip in a truck, camper, or van, and we agreed we should get married before we took such a trip together. Practical considerations soon prevailed, however, and we decided to focus on putting Tyson through school and starting a family. Now Tyson is done with his school (only took two years for him to do 105 credits and graduate magna cum laude with a 3.83 by the way, brag, brag), and we need to think about what's next. For a holder of a bachelor's degree in political science, the next logical step is graduate school of some sort; there aren't really that many career possibilities available otherwise. So, while Tyson studies for the GRE and/or LSAT, we will travel the country, check out schools, apply and interview for jobs, and work while we travel.

In order to downsize for our travels and to get the trailer ready for its new owner, we are selling many of our belongings. Our first venues will be KSL and Craigslist, then the leftovers may join a neighbor's yard sale (someone with a real house - I don't think yard sales in trailer parks are usually a very big draw), and finally we will take what's left to DI. I wanted to give all you blog readers first dibs on anything you might want. Pass the word along to any friends or family, especially newlywed couples just starting a household. My in-laws, Curtis & Charlene Heaton have been so kind as to agree to store the belonging we do not wish to sell.

  1. Just gotta say, I am jealous of your impending adventure! I've always had a nomadic heart. :) Best of luck in liquidating everything!

  2. You guys are NUTS! Best of luck to you though.

  3. Sometimes I look around at all the stuff we have, and think it would be nice to get rid of most everything.

    Sounds exciting!

  4. How exciting and what a fun babyhood for Sawyer. I hope you'll keep us posted on your blog of your adventures so we can live vicariously through you!

  5. i might want your car. since mine died recently. just for a back up plan. maybe you should email me with details about it oh and if i get the car I might as well get your camelback backpack too. Landon has one and I have always wanted it.

  6. holy crap! you guys are selling a butt load! does this mean as soon as you sell you can come to our house!? sounds good!!! :)

  7. You are going to be a busy lady selling all of your things! It sounds like you guys are off on an awesome adventure though!

  8. This sounds like my kind of adventure, although most of our stuff is just in storage--we weren't brave enough to sell ALL of it, just some of it. Sounds so fun!! If your wanderings lead you to Missouri, give us a ring. It is VERY liberating to purge and only have what you need to survive, for a while anyway! Have fun!!
